Elon Musk revealing a step further towards Human-AI symbiosis
We know how fast technology has transformed in the last two decades, but what about the human brain. Humans have built the most advanced machines, but no major discovery has happened to augment human potential through improved brain capabilities.
With the vision to solve some of the most difficult problems related to brain and spine and cure them, Elon Musk recently unveiled Neuralink, a chip like device that is implanted in brain to 'read' brain signals directly and also 'write' information into the brain.
It's yet to be tested on human, but Elon showed a live demo where the link was implanted successfully in a pig.
"It's like a Fitbit in your skull with tiny wires," said Musk.
This could, according to the company, solve a lot of brain related diseases and problems. In the longer run though, this is a small step towards human-machine symbiosis or AI-symbiosis. Of course, every new technology comes with pros and cons, but what do you think are the possibilities in a world with humans having unlimited knowledge and power of AI like computers?
